An Overview

Optimum Outcomes is the leading hospital receivables management outsourcing company in the United States, serving more than 100 healthcare providers. Our customers include large nonprofit faith-based organizations, leading academic medical centers, regional community hospitals and for-profit health systems.


Optimum Outcomes was founded in 2002 under the name Revenue Cycle Solutions, Inc., to help hospitals address the growing volume of self-pay accounts receivable and small balance insurance. Recognizing that a new paradigm was needed to effectively manage these receivables, we designed proprietary software to work accounts in an assembly-line method rather than the agent portfolio-ownership system all other firms used.

Continued Growth

In 2008, Revenue Cycle Solutions, Inc. acquired CashRetriever Systems, Inc., based in Birmingham, AL, a firm that had been providing active receivables management to hospitals for more than 15 years. This acquisition provided the Company with additional operations centers and IT redundancy, as well as increased management depth.

In May 2011, Waud Capital Partners (“WCP”) a leading middle-market private equity firm based in Chicago, Illinois acquired Revenue Cycle Solutions, Inc. Revenue Cycle Solutions served as the platform investment in WCP’s effort to build a best-in-class patient account resolution company serving hospitals, hospital-based physician groups and other healthcare facilities nationwide. Over the past year, the Company made considerable investment in people, process and technology to create more value for clients and support rapid, profitable growth.

In May 2012, one year after the acquisition of Revenue Cycle Solutions, Inc., the company’s name was changed to Optimum Outcomes to better reflect the company’s ongoing focus on optimizing both financial outcomes and total patient satisfaction. ‘Caring for your Revenue Cycle’ is the new company tagline which reflects Optimum Outcomes’ patient-first approach to resolving accounts on behalf of their healthcare clients.
